From the coaches table

I am Kariena du Plessis. Hockey and the development of hockey in our country is a massive passion for me. I have been working with children for over 6 years. I specialized in fine motor skills for children ages 3 to 6 years old and I have coached hockey for various age groups. Not only does hockey teach you athletic abilities, it also teaches you to work in a team, communicate and think on your feet. The reason I love hockey so much is because it is a sport that can bring out the best in you. It is a sport that develops motor skills, social skills and problem solving as well. My goal is to develop hockey skills from a young age, to give hockey players the opportunity to excel in the sport and at the same time develop life skills. Hockey as a sport has so much to offer. I want to create a safe environment for learning, development,having fun and making memories.
